What about the bathroom?

With your new Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford property in hand or in your sights, it is a great time to design your perfect bathroom. The bathroom really is a room you and the family use all the time so it is worth investing some time and money in.

Just because your bathrooms are functional it doesn’t mean it can’t make a statement with some clever design. 2019 also sees a whole host of design trends that might be worth your attention to help your Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford home stand out.

Patrick Ediger says that "Small spaces like powder rooms excel as a canvas for a singular, splashy statement. A high-contrast, large-scale wallpaper expands a small space and infuses it with an artful attitude." So if you have a small bathroom downstairs that most visitors are likely to use it is the one to have the most fun with. Oversized floral wall prints and pattern-on-pattern are very of-the-moment, particularly in bold, bright colours that herald the spring.

A classic bathroom is always on trend and spending well on some classic features will mean you have something in your Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford bathroom that will work for years to come. To keep it feeling modern use a monochromatic element throughout the whole space. For example, using all of one colour or material, such as all marble tiling is a great way to achieve this. Using all of one material creates a fun jewel box-like look to space say the professionals.

Ariel Okin says. "White and grey marble continues to be strong, popular materials into 2019 for bathrooms and kitchens alike. They are classic and timeless, can go from traditional to modern in terms of aesthetics, and are also great for resale. Man-made materials, such as quartz and porcelain tiles that look like natural stones, are also workhorses from a durability perspective and will continue to be popular."
