Travel to and from London
One of the many reasons people move to Chigwell, Loughton and Woodford is that it is so easy to travel to and from central London. Chigwell and Grange Hill stations are both on the Central line (zone 4) providing a speedy service into central London and Buckhurst Hill, Woodford, Loughton and Hainault stations also offer quick connections and short journey times to the city.

The Dark Outside in Epping Forest
The Dark Outside will be taking place between 20th and 21st June 2019 at The View and Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge and it’s free, all you have to do is just tune in. Chigwell is “the greatest place in the world”
“Chigwell, my dear fellow, is the greatest place in the world,” said Charles Dickens.  In the 1800s Chigwell was a favourite destination for Charles Dickens. In his novel Barnaby Rudge, the Maypole Inn of the book was reportedly based on the Kings Head Inn and its name was taken from the Maypole pub in Chigwell Row.

Want to find out more about athletics in Woodford, Chigwell or Loughton? Woodford Green AC is a great club not far away. Woodford Green AC was founded in 1908, just before the London Olympic Games, formed out of the Harrier section of the Woodford Green Men's Club established in 1904.

What’s not to like about Loughton?
What’s not to like about Loughton as it sits on the edge of Epping Forest, 15 miles north-east of central London. It is also pretty much at the apex of what is known as the “Golden Triangle” of Chigwell and Buckhurst Hill which can be found to the south of Loughton.
