Alasdair Carpenter, Managing Director

Alasdair Carpenter has been an influential and significant force in the London property market for over 2 decades.  

After finishing a business degree at Brunel University, Alasdair joined Chestertons as part of their graduate scheme.  He then quickly moved to head up the UK operations for a multibillion-dollar Hong Kong based property fund.  

However, after several years of working as a board level executive he decided he could bring a refreshing and unique twist to London estate agency.  

In 2006 Alasdair launched Lourdes Estate Agents.  This brand went on to be one of the market leading independent estate agents in London.  The business went on to win a succession of industry recognised awards and was eventually sold to Stirling Ackroyd in 2018.

Throughout his illustrious career Alasdair has worked alongside some of the UK's most established developers, investors and property funds. He has worked in every aspect of property development from site sales, acquisitions, consultancy, project management, portfolio management, bespoke property funding, investment strategy and off plan sales.

As well as being a preeminent force in the property market, Alasdair was formally a talented athlete who has competed at a high level in a variety of sports.

Jimi Epps, Operations Director

Jimi Epps

Jimi oversees the day-to-day operation strategy at Lawlors. He makes sure the business is fully compliant and that the firm’s structures and process are harmonised to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Jimi's background is originally in IT. For over a decade he worked as an IT executive providing support to a number of PLC companies based in The City.

In 2009 Jimi decided he wanted a more interpersonal role where he could still utilise his technical knowledge. At this time real estate in the UK was going through somewhat of a technological revolution and Jimi was able to introduce many cutting-edge operational strategy’s into leading real estate businesses.

Aside from his love of technology and property, Jimi is an extremely talented musician. It would be easier to list the instruments he can’t play than those he can.

During the mid-90s, Jimi was scouted by Paul Oakenfold who at the time was an A&R representative for East West Records in South Kensington, Jimi was signed to record an album but unfortunately as with most up and coming bands, his success was short lived….their loss is our gain.

Steve Gabbani, Branch Partner

Steve brings a huge wealth of knowledge and experience with his 35+ years in estate agency to the Lawlors brand.

Having worked locally for most of his career, the areas that Lawlors serve are close to Steve’s heart and this shows in his enthusiasm and passion as an estate agent within the local area.

Outside of work Steve is a dedicated cyclist and has channelled this passion to raise a lot of money for numerous charities.

Neil Dawson, Area Lettings Manager

Neil Dawson

With over two decades of experience withing the residential lettings market, Neil brings a phenomenal amount of experience to his role as Area Lettings Manager for the Lawlors brand.

Neil has worked for a number of blue-chip companies across central London and has brought the ethos and meticulous attention to detail that this market demands to our Loughton branch and the surrounding areas that we cover.

We can unequivocally state that our clients receive the best service available in the market today and with Lettings legislation becoming more intricate every year, having a Neil in your corner will put any landlord in good stead.

Marie Brazier – Branch Secretary

Marie is our Branch Secretary who is responsible for delivering a front facing support service either by telephone or front of office contact while also assisting and liaising with customers and clients, responding promptly to enquiries and requests for information and ensuring that a positive and professional image is created and maintained at all times.

Marie also produces the marketing material, including brochures for our clients and their properties which is then listed online portals.  She also assists in the day to day running of admin duties within the office.

Marie’s background is in mainly in banking where she worked as a Branch Secretary for one of our most prestigious banks in The City/West End before her career path took her into Estate Agency.

In Marie’s spare time she enjoys all aspects of keeping fit and is a netball coach. She also enjoys watching and playing tennis on a regular basis. Marie is extremely family orientated and enjoys socialising with her family and friends.

Irina Rink – Sales & Lettings Negotiator

Irina Rink

Irina is very passionate about matching the right home to the right person. Having joined the company in November 2021, Irina has really made herself a part of the team. Irina’s day-to-day role consists of meeting clients, speaking with our vendor’s and landlords and arranging viewing’s. She has great knowledge of the local area which is vital when finding our clients their dream home.

Prior to Estate Agency, Irina worked within the beauty industry which must be where she developed such amazing people skills. 

Outside of work Irina enjoys spending time with her family and friends within the local community. As well as training at her local gym most evenings.

Olivia Salter – Head of Property Management

Olivia is the Head of our Property Management department here at Lawlors. She looks after all of our managed and rent collection properties ensuring the smooth day to day running of our portfolio, whilst delivering fantastic customer service.

Olivia started her career as a property manager in the City and gained a wealth of experience dealing with a plethora of properties and people from all different walks of life.

She felt it was time to come out of the City and take advantage of the knowledge she has of the local area we cover, to really elevate the property management service she can provide. Olivia always likes to manage our properties as if they were her own and always strives for excellence for our landlords and tenants.

Outside of work you can find Olivia attending Reformer Pilates and the gym as she likes to keep an active lifestyle. She also enjoys socialising with her friends and family and going on nice holidays.

Olivia Salter – Head of Property Management

Chris Smith – Finance Director

After gaining a Finance degree at Birmingham University, Chris then went on to qualify as an accountant working in the investment banking sector. Throughout his banking career Chris worked at several well regarded institutions and in a variety of senior roles, where he specialised in Treasury and Wholesale Markets. This required knowledge and understanding of a whole range of financial products from complex derivatives to debt and capital markets. 

Chris now overseas all Finance aspects of the business, and due to being a seasoned investor and portfolio landlord, offers property investment advice to our high net worth clients.
