If you are thinking of moving to Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford a great way to find out more about Chigwell is to take a Chigwell country walk. The walk recommended by the Epping Forest guide on what to do locally is approximately 3 miles long and will take about 1 ½ hours to complete.
The start to the Chigwell Country Walk is on Courtland Drive, IG7 6PN. The footpaths on the walk are in good condition, but they will become muddy after wet weather, so sturdy footwear or wellingtons are recommended. The planners say there is a small amount of road walking involved along main roads so please take extra special care whilst walking along these. As ever for any country walking make sure you follow the Country Code. Keep dogs on a lead near livestock, and keep to the footpath when walking across privately owned land.
