Half term multi-sports days

Half term is fast approaching with the second bank holiday weekend in May. Checking out what half term activities are on offer in and around Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford or anywhere in North East London is a must for busy parents.

The local authority is running a couple of multi-sports days. “Come and join our experienced coaches for a day of exciting activities.” They say. “We believe that there are a sport and activity for everyone. At our Multi Sports days, young people can expect to get to try a mixture of traditional and non-traditional sports from Tennis to American Football with some wacky games and competitions thrown in for good measure.”

The first date is for Tuesday 29 May for Ages 5 – 14 is heled at Leverton Junior School, Honey Lane, Waltham Abbey EN9 3BE. It runs from 9.15am to 3.30pm (Registration 8.45am – 9.15am, collect 3.30pm – 4.00pm) Cost £16.50 Book online or call 01992564226 (Mon – Fri 10am – 4pm)

Then on Thursday 31 May, again for ages 5 – 14 at Loughton Cricket Club, the Uplands, Loughton IG10 1NQ. From 9.15am to 3.30pm (Registration 8.45am – 9.15am, collect 3.30pm – 4.00pm) Cost £16.50. Book online or call 01992564226 (Mon – Fri 10 am – 4 pm)

Making sure the kids get active and stay active is a must for life. For both of these one-off multi-sports days near to Chigwell, Loughton and Woodford the Young people will need to dress appropriately for both indoor and outdoor sports. Just in case there is some bad weather it is worth them having a change of clothing just in case.

The young people will also need to bring a packed lunch, and plenty to drink (fruit juice or water please, no sports drinks or fizzy drinks). A healthy morning snack will be provided as part of the offer.
