Christmas Grotto’s from Chigwell

On Saturday 8th December and Sunday 9th December between 10 am - 5 pm each day just a short hop from Woodford, Loughton and Chigwell there will be the traditional Christmas Grotto and Festive Fair at Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge.

Father Christmas will be stopping off in Epping Forest to visit his Christmas Grotto next to this local historical venue for just two days, so be sure to book your tickets. The Forest's famous Festive Fair returns to the Hunting Lodge to coincide with Father Christmas' visit, so even if you're a bit too big or too naughty to visit Santa, there's plenty to see and do. There will be activities, arts and crafts, as well as a chance to sit in Santa's sleigh and make friends with the animals of Wellgate Community Farm. There will also be some festive tales and carols to listen to, a huge range of food, mulled wine and cider to enjoy alongside plenty of stalls selling things so you can squeeze in some Christmas shopping too!

If you’re thinking to find a grotto a bit further from Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford a short hop on the tube gets you to the heart of London. Maybe Father Christmas at the Royal Albert Hall is for you where you can explore enchanted spaces within the famous historical building on Kensington Gore, London, SW7 2AP between the 21st November and the 24th December 2018

Children and their families are taken on an hour-long Christmas experience through enchanted spaces guided by magical characters, before meeting the big man himself. There will be games, storytelling and songs and every child will have the chance to meet Father Christmas, sit in his sleigh and receive a present.

Or perhaps Harrods Christmas Grotto is the one for you. Between 16th November an 24th December Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, London, SW3 1RT. Santa's Grotto at Harrods is a long-standing tradition at the luxury Knightsbridge store. Little ones can meet Father Christmas at his grotto and share their wish lists with him but all children, regardless of good behaviour, will be rewarded with a special memento from Santa.
