Are you an Autumn person?

Are you an Autumn person?

Some of us love the Spring, others the Summer and a few even love Winter, but Autumn can be a real winner in and around Chigwell. If you love your Loughton or Woodford kitchen filled with homemade comfort foods and you love the falling leaves in Epping Forest as much as the dogs do perhaps Autumn is your season.
For some nothing is more beautiful and inspiring than burnt amber and bronze leaves falling from the trees as Chigwell gardens coming to life with deep red leaves. In the village shops the produce opens up a world of pickles and preserves and warming vegetables soups. Barbecues give way to crumbles and spiced loaves as people gather indoors to enjoy each other’s company.
If you like to bring a bit of Autumn into your home to celebrate the changing season there are lots of nature's gems – pine cones, acorns and oddly but gloriously shaped pumpkins that can become a display opportunity for you home.  You could also add a spiced candle or two to draw the scent of Autumn into your home.
If you enjoy folding away your summer dresses and clearing through your sandals so you can rediscover your luscious knits, boots and wellies then Autumn is probably for you.  You may be savouring the textures, sounds and tones of autumn, but perhaps what you really like is that you can feel the buzz of all the Chigwell Christmas delights just around the corner.
