Rope Runners out of Chigwell

Not far from Chigwell, Loughton and Woodford this coming half term you can find the rope runners out at The Secret Nuclear Bunker, Ongar Road, Kelvedon Hatch, Essex, CM15 0LA. They say they are the Essex original and best, an outdoor activity centre set in woodlands in the heart of Essex on a site shared with The Secret Nuclear Bunker.

They offer 6 pole based ropes courses over 3 different levels, with zip lines, climbing wall, & fan descender.  There is a minimum age of 6 and children less than 1.20m in height must be accompanied by a paying, participating, adult. One adult, however, can assist two children.

When it comes to half term they can offer Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford families or groups a half or a full day of multi-activity days. The activities on offer range from archery, air rifles, paintball target shooting to orienteering, bushcraft, water zorbing, assault course and archery assault.

If a high ropes session is your thing you can test your nerves with 6 different courses on three different levels. Then finish with a big thrill on our zip wire and fan descender, a standard ropes course session lasts two and a half hours.

If Air Rifle Target Shooting is what you would choose next the controlled, supervised way it is delivered will offer real hand-eye coordination skills. Participants will be shown how to load, hold and fire an air rifle. They then get their eye in with paper targets before trying to knock down animal targets, spinners and sets for the really keen.

Also on the same site is The Secret Nuclear Bunker so you can also enjoy a bit of history and find out about the bunker and its three lives, from an RAF rotor station to home to regional government in the event of a Nuclear War before heading home for tea in Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford.
