Only a short hop up the M11 from Chigwell you will find be able to find the first South East Motorcycle Autojumble on June 24th from 9 am. The Autojumble is taking place at the historic North Weald Airfield, Merlin Way, North Weald, Essex, for a small £5 entrance fee. If you are using Satnav to find it, use the postcode CM16 6HR.

If finding the perfect part for a vintage restoration or simply getting your motorcycle back on track the Autojumble may keep you busy but don’t miss out on what else this venue has to offer. The historic North Weald is still an operating airfield but there is also much to see and do including taking a break in the amazing themed cafes to have a bite and watch the heritage warbirds come and go. Every day at the Airfield is different.

The airfield is set in the lovely Essex countryside next to the village of North Weald but a short distance from Epping with its Central Line connection to London and not far from the village life of Chigwell, Loughton and Woodford.

It is a well-maintained site of almost 400 acres, which hosts a wide range of activities throughout the year.

If you like history North Weald Airfield simply offers you a taste of the past.  Built-in 1916 it became famous as one of the main fighter bases during the Battle of Britain. Several historic aircraft collections are also based at North Weald. In addition to the Autojumble, there are a host of other motorsports, car shows and photography events. Regular users include archers, footballers, cyclists, model aircraft flyers, bus, HGV and skid training, motorcycle and high-performance car training and motor sprints.

Of course, the Saturday and Bank Holiday Markets are the bigger regular events. There are also a number of annual events including the Air Ambulance Motorcycle Ride-In and show, a Bus Rally, specialist car shows, the Wings & Wheels model show, and aircraft fly-ins. All just a short hop from Chigwell, Loughton and Woodford.
