Getting out in nature through the summer months in Loughton, Woodford and Chigwell is vital. There is so much to enjoy not least some field studies in Loughton at the Field Studies Council, (FSC) site Epping Forest, Paul’s Nursery Road, High Beach, Loughton, Essex, IG10 4AF and IG10 1HP. Coming up on Thursday 15th August 2019 there will be the seedlings - butterflies and dragonflies morning.

From 10.00 am to 12 noon where children aged 18 months to 4 years are welcome to join in the butterfly hunt in the park. They will be able to identify butterflies and complete butterfly-themed activities.  Have you inspired by The Big Butterfly Count? Would you like to find out some more about butterflies and dragonflies? The Field Studies Council, grasslands in Loughton are full of butterflies and dragonflies in the summer months. Alongside the Seedlings activities, there are also the Explorers - Butterflies and Dragonflies activities for 5-11-year-olds. Come and find out some more about butterflies and dragonflies. Print your own butterfly and look at the patterns on butterflies and dragonflies. Children entry cost £6, adults are free but booking in advance essential.
