Loughton Art Trail is running a Children's Art Holiday Club on Tuesday 29th May, Wednesday 30th, Saturday 2nd June for children age: 7+ from 1.00pm-3.30pm at Lifeworks Creative Arts Centre, 260 High Road, Loughton IG10 1RB. Cost: £5.00 per session.
Loughton Art Trail is an annual community arts event that offers engagement with the visual arts for local artists in Loughton Essex and immediate area. The Trail is run by volunteers and artists within the Loughton community. Our mission is to give local artists of all levels the opportunity to share their artwork with the community and bring the community together in celebrating the visual arts.
There is nothing like getting young people involved in art early and it is great to find local half-term holiday activities in Loughton. There are different art activities each day: on Tuesday 29th May – there will be printing activities, on Wednesday 30th May there will be an African hat making session and on Saturday 2nd June there is a painting and glazing pottery session Lifeworks is a creative arts centre associated with Loughton Methodist Church, they say their mission is to serve Loughton through the Creative Arts, connect people through arts and build a creative community. They aim to use the creative arts to help build confidence and identity, to bring healing and hope. We seek to work in partnership with other artists, to support educators, to expand, grow and constantly create and be creative. They are passionate about seeing people living life in all of its fullness as they grow and become empowered through the Creative Arts.
Lifeworks can be found close to Loughton Methodist Church with access through the church or down the side road by the pizza shop. There is a small car park at Lifeworks and a larger one at Loughton Library.
