Epping Forest Halloween walks

If you plan to head out for Halloween from your Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford home this October have you checked out the official Original Hangman's Hill Epping Forest ghost walk? It will be held on Tuesday 29th October 2019 starting at 8:00 pm and going on until 10:30 pm. The ghost walk is all part of Epping Forest Halloween Fest 2019 delivering events to the area for you and your family to enjoy.

The ghost walk is run by Dusk Till Dawn Events who offer the official Original Hangman's Hill Epping Forest ghost walk, as seen on TV's Most Haunted and the Only Way is Essex! The ghostly walks around Hangman’s Hill are accompanied by storytellers spinning tales of the spooky inhabitants of Epping Forest and the local legends that have built up around them.

Are you brave enough to hear ghost stories in the woods? Please note that the walks are for over 18's only. If the stories in the woods at night are not enough to chill you to the bone there is also a stop at a nearby cemetery incorporated into the walk. The area was once the site of a grand house and is said to be haunted by the family and staff that once lived there.

The organisers also promise a séance at which a Medium will attempt to contact the spirits. Perhaps the energies of some of the ghostly tales will be present in the forest. There have been sightings of a troubled spirit who runs in front of passing cars glaring into the eyes of drivers before disappearing, there is said to be a ghost of a girl who drowned near the Kings Oak Pub, the penny-farthing ghost, headless horsemen and more.

The organisers say this is an exciting dark and scary event not to be missed. Previous guests have reported during this bone-chilling ghost walk being pushed, touched and having a feeling of being followed. The walk continues down the Epping pass towards what is now known as Hangman’s Hill Epping Forest before returning to the Kings Oak.
