So, camping might not be your thing but it has got to be fun for the kids. If you are thinking of moving to Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford to be in a more rural setting for your family, you might be interested to know that right next to Hainault Country Park, Chigwell, with its views of ancient forest and boating lake is Chigwell Row Campsite.
The site is part of the Girl Guiding network and occupies an area of 56 acres of grassland, providing a safe and spacious place for lots of on-site activities. The site is most commonly used for larger Girl Guide and scouting events, both great organisations to get your Chigwell, Loughton or Woodford family involved with.
All of their campsites can be booked equipped or unequipped, they tend to have solid shelter and flush toilets. There is a central shower block, payphone, fridge/freezer room and mobile phone charging points. This site has a resident, full-time warden and is open all year round. It is suitable for any member of the Guide or Scout associations as well as other youth organisations and school groups to use.
Chigwell Row Campsite also offers lots of volunteering opportunities. Whether you can give a few hours or want to get involved regularly, there’s something for everyone! If you are an adult volunteer they can work around your commitments; weekday, weekends or as and when you are available!
